The 2019 Bocci collection will feature 74, a new LED spotlight system, 73V, an ethereal blown glass ceiling light with a gradient of vibrant colours in a unique oblong shape and a new opaline version of 57. The three new launches will be showcased with a large 400sqm stand at Salone del Mobile, designed by Omer Arbel with his team at multidisciplinary studio Omer Arbel Office.

Omer Arbel is known for his creative explorations and experiments, including the use of innovative glass blowing techniques and unique materials. His latest designs have been hand-crafted by Bocci’s team of expert glass blowers at the an in-house glass and prototyping studio in Vancouver. Each new piece is named with a number that corresponds to the order in which it was first conceived.

74 is a new LED spotlighting system designed as an alternative to conventional track-lighting. The spotlights are housed inside mirrored spheres that are affixed with a magnet, allowing maximum control over the emitted cone of light. Low voltage electricity passes through delicate coaxial cables freely composed in three-dimensional space, with the adjustable spheres located at certain intersections.
