Particles for the Built World is an exhibition of selected objects and artefacts from an ongoing trajectory of experimentation and discovery with fabric forming technique conducted at Omer Arbel Office.

Known for his material based experimentations, Particles for the Built World features Omer Arbel’s recent explorations in fabric-formed concrete. Departing from the artist’s studies for a new residence that is currently under construction in Surrey British Columbia, this exhibition features concrete sculptural installation, multi-channel film, construction-form tapestries, architectural models, section collages, and interactive cityscape. The exhibition reimagines domestic and urban life outside the rubric of modernism and along a continuum where objects, sculpture and architecture are deeply intertwined. The exhibition is curated by Jordan Strom, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections at the Surrey Art Gallery.

In 2020 an iteration of this exhibition will be presented at the Aedes Gallery Berlin.
